The Capercaillie has for me over many years been a mythical bird. It has features that looks like something from before our last ice age.
The sound alone sounds like something out of Jurassic Park.
Ive spent the last 8 years and 80 nights outside to take a picture that gives this specimen the glory it deserves. A picture that shows its colors, a picture where you look up at the bird. Not down.If you look closely, you can see the aftermath after fights with other males in the fight to gain the female´s attention to mate.
